v0.38.0/v0.39.0 Updates

Evening all, it's another monthly update, meaning the public version is now up to v0.38.0, and v0.39.0 is now up for patrons! This update is a big one functionality-wise, as it involves a complete overhaul of the crewmember seduction system, allowing for group activities in your cabin as well as a few more options for getting them there. This update also marks the offical end of the 'midgame' development phase, meaning Carnal Voyages is now officially half-way done!

The next few months are going to focus on the next set of factions, and I'll be starting with the insectoid Roth first up. I've already done a little work on setting up their home system, and with any luck next update will let you fly by for an introduction. v0.39.0 Change Log

Game Functions:

• Modified interactive scene to add support for NPCs choosing to perform actions on other NPCs. If multiple NPCs are in a scene, self-pleasure actions will be less likely than with a single NPC.
• 'Seduce Crewmember' button has been removed from the Crew Roster interface. Replaced by the new rec center scene.

Scene Content:

• 'Cabin Invitation' scene added for the XO, unlocked if the player is in a sexual relationship with them.
• Updated all Specialist 'Cabin Invitation' scenes to include options for also inviting one other Specialist (or two for Jodi & Desmon) or the XO. Requires being in a sexual relationship with each Specialist/XO.
• Rec Center scene added to main ship hub.
  • This scene may be visited once every 20 hours.
  • Each crewmember and Specialist will have a 1/3 chance of being present on a given visit. 
  • Player can attempt to seduce present crew in a number of manners (mostly trait-based), and if successful can invite up to two of them to join the player in their cabin for an interactive scene, or up to three if the player has the Gangbanger trait.
  • Specialists and the XO must be in a sexual relationship to have a chance of being present. Specialists and the XO have a doubled chance of being successfully seduced.
  • New Swinger and Lover seduction options added for those traits, with bonuses (or debuffs) based on the percentage of the crew in the rec center at the time.

v0.38.1 Update

Evening all, the mid-month update is here with v0.38.1! This update mostly focuses on expanding the combat encounters a bit, with the option of buying new gear for ground combat, and 'practice' options for both ground combat and seduction encounters. Additionally, I've started on the crew seduction revamp by adding in options to directly invite Specialists to your cabin, which in the case of Jodi & Desmon means the first threesome option for the procedural scenes is now available!

For the rest of the month I'll be focusing on the seduction revamp, which will include ways to get multiple-party encounters involving the rest of your crew. If I get through that, it'll be time to start on the insectoid Roth faction, although that will mostly have to be next month. v0.38.1 Change Log

Game Functions:

• Armory shop added to the Quartermaster's department, with the option of purchasing Stun Guns or Rifles for your crew's ground combat encounters. Weapons are mechanically identical but come with reputation differences. Can be swapped for a cost. Purchased weapons will be chosen as the default action during ground combat encounters, but can be swapped back to Fists if desired.

Scene Content:

• New Armory scenes added to the Quartermaster's department at Watch Station. Unlocked following the Admiral's second debriefing.
• New Ground combat training added to Watch Station's main hub. Has both normal and hard mode versions, and can be repeated at will. Unlocked immediately following the tutorial. Normal Mode: five random enemies armed with fists. Hard Mode: five random enemies armed with stun guns.
• New Seduction training added to Watch Station's main hub. Has both normal and hard mode versions, and can be repeated at will. Unlocked immediately following the tutorial. Normal Mode: five random enemies. Hard Mode: seven random enemies.
• 'Cabin Invitation' scenes added to all current Specialists. If the player is in a Romantic relationship with a Specialist, they may invite the Specialist to an interactive romance scene. For Jodi & Desmon, this allows either or both to be invited.

v0.37.0/v0.38.0 Updates

Evening all, it's a new month! First off, the Overseer's Edition of Carnal Coup is once again on sale on itch and Steam! It's sadly still unlisted on itch, but it is still there. v0.37.0 is also now available for free at the usual page.

v0.38.0 focuses on the first of the midgame phase updates, with shops now offering new BDSM-themed gear for the procedural scenes as well as all five new ships of the Tier 4 classes, once you've completed four faction plotlines. I'm currently in the middle of setting up new weapons upgrades for the ground combat encounters, after which I'll be working on a revamp of the crew seduction system, particularly to allow for large group activities. v0.37.1 Update

Hey all, it's midmonth update time, and v0.37.1 is now up for patrons with the start of the midgame!

This update features the second debriefing from Admiral Octo, after which the player will have access to new midgame options. One of these includes optional BDSM gear upgrades for the procedural romance scenes, unfortunately I wasn't able to fully get them operational for this update. v0.36.0/v0.37.0 Updates

Hey all, it's another big month for Carnal Voyages, as another faction is now content-complete! v0.36.0 is now up for the public at the usual page, and v0.37.0 is up for patrons, with the final smutty conclusion to the Happee Co plotline. In addition to that, two new CG sets are now in the game, one for the Admiral's first 'reward' scene, and one for the Happee 'civilian' plotline climax. 

Four out of the game's planned eight factions are now finished, although I do have a few more functionality-type items I want to check off before I'll call the game halfway done. I'll be focusing on that this month, first with another scene with Admiral Octo, and then with quite a few new improvements to Watch Station. v0.36.1 Update

It's mid-month update time, and v0.36.1 is now up for patrons! This update fully wraps up the Schen faction with some scientific smut, and adds an upgraded faction shop allowing you to recruit some scaly scientists to join your crew. We also have our first contribution from a new artist, Arco, who will be helping to replace some of the filler backgrounds with handmade artwork.

v0.35.0/v0.36.0 Updates

Evening all, it's a new month and v0.35.0 is now up for the public, with v0.36.0 out for patrons!

As you may know, this month has been a rough one on Steam and particularly itch.io. The current status of things is that the free, public versions of Carnal Coup and Carnal Voyages are once again indexed on itch, however the Overseer's Edition can now only be found via direct link. Things are still up in the air a bit, but for reference, know that the latest game links can always be found on the blog Downloads page.

As for this current update, two more plotlines have been wrapped up with smutty conclusions, and the Schen faction climax plotline has now been begun! Both the Schen and the Happee factions are aiming to be concluded in the next month. New artwork has also been added for the Hardhoard climax, and more CGs are already in progress.
