v0.40.0/v0.41.0 Updates, State of the Game

Evening all, it's a new year and a new month, which means that v0.40.0 is now up for free to the public, and v0.41.0 is out for patrons! Additionally, the Overseer's Edition of Carnal Coup is once again on sale on itch and Steam. I've made a larger State of the Game post over on itch, but to focus on this month's changes: more insectoid Roth scenes! Each storyline has been progressed a little further, but no sexytimes yet.

However, going forward I'll be focusing on setting up the new Slime faction for the game. This faction will take more work to add in than the Roth required, which means there's a chance there may not be any playable content for a mid-month release. Either way, there'll be a Patreon update to let folks know. You can check out the Patreon post here for more info, and the patch notes are below:

• Third Roth Leader scene added, unlocked 20 hours following the second Roth Leader scene. Replayable.

• Story-based duty assignment added, unlocked following the third Roth Specialist scene.

• Fixed issue that would cause scenes to break if a duty assignment including a crewmember with the Saboteur trait completed in the Figura system, and potential similar issues with duty assignments in other systems.
