v0.47.1 Supporter Release

Evening all, here with the second release for the month, and it's a bit of a doozy. I had a long list of things to clean up before moving on to endgame development, and by some chance I managed to hit them all. We do have some new content in this one, including a new CG set and four new music tracks! On top of that, many bug fixes and polish changes, particularly to the Codex. The next free release is planned for two days from now, until then you can check out the patron post here, or the patch notes below:

v0.47.1 Change Log

Game Functions:

  • Functionality to support CGs in citizen random encounter scenes.
  • Recruit Assignments are now required for appropriate Department scenes (Commandos 5, Roboticists 5, Propagandists 5, Pilots 5).
  • Continue and Cancel buttons on Recruit Assignment screen have been adjusted.
  • Impersonation skill checks are now required for appropriate Department scenes (Commandos 4, Roboticists 4). The option to Continue will only be available if you have the required skill level.
  • A 'Return to Office' button has been added to Hellfire's office.

Mission Content:

  • Music has been added to the missions, with one track for each of the four location types.

Scene Content:

  • None

Art Content:

  • 'Librarian' citizen random encounter CGs added to scenes and gallery (4 variants).

Codex Entries:

  • 'Specialists' entry added.
  • For 'Race' entries (other than Terrans), buttons have been added to display representative members of the species.
  • For 'Specialist' entries, a button has been added to display their portraits.

Bug Fixes:

  • Loyalty mission encounters will now occur after a specific number of moves rather than being assigned to random map locations, to ensure that all story encounters are met and in the proper order.
  • A number of typo and gender/text color switch fixes, particularly in random citizen encounter scenes.
  • The Codex button will now only be available while in the office, to avoid various overlay and button issues.
  • The scrollbar in Codex entries will now reset to the beginning when switching entries.
  • The button leading to a placeholder scene in Hellfire's office has been removed, until such time as a full scene may be added.
  • Fixed a bug with mission encounters, where instead of using an encounter-specific morph meant to reflect your selected mission gender, it would default to male.

Known Issues:

  • TTS dialogue cannot be interrupted once begun. May have issues if triggered on multiple screens at once. TTS support is 64-bit Windows only.
  • WebGL Issues: Be warned that save game data in WebGL mode is less permanent than PC standalone. May also be more prone to memory and other issues.

v0.47.0 Supporter Release

Evening all, here to let you know that the latest release is now up for patrons! v0.47.0 is another of those 'almost all code work' updates, but may still be worth checking out - additionally, an art preview's been posted for Infiltrator+ tier patrons with a new CG that didn't quite make it into this build. The major mid-game development tasks are nearly complete, with just a bit more work required on recruit assignments. You can check out the patreon post here, or the patch notes below. Also, I neglected to make a post here at the time, but note that the free release on the Downloads tab was updated last week!

v0.47.0 Change Log

Game Functions:

  • Monthly Cheat Code Updated
  • Random citizen encounter scenes which require a certain number of recruits of a certain species will now begin checking if you have the recruits before displaying those scenes. Active status and gender of recruits is not factored in, just the total number.
  • Various functionality to get the Recruit Assignment panel to a working state. Clicking on a recruit type will assign that recruit to the first empty slot, provided it meets the requirements. Clicking the slot will empty it. Attempting to continue without assigning all positions will bring up a warning (Not yet implemented for Department scene checks).
  • Recruit Operations and Office Upgrades now require you to properly assign recruits before you can continue with the operation/upgrade. Assigned recruits will move to 'idle' status for a random amount of time after being used for an op.

Mission Content:

  • None

Scene Content:

  • Minor Office Upgrade-related edits to various Director scenes: Propagandists 4, Pilots 4, Workers 4. The office 'home' screen text also now reflects your upgrade level and selections.

Art Content:

  • None

Codex Entries:

  • None

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed issue where name variables weren't being applied in the Celopi office upgrade result.
  • Fixed issue where assigning recruits in the recruit panel would revert to using a placeholder count for the remaining number of recruits.
