v0.28.1 Update

Hey all, it's breeding time! The pregnancy system is now fully in and operational, with players, the XO, and standard crewmembers all now standing a risk of getting knocked up during procedural 'romance' scenes (Specialists will get their own system down the line). I've also added in a few followup scenes to handle informing the player of if this happens. With that out of the way it's time to get back to the plotline, and one of the top things on my to-do list is the Switch cameo appearance, which won in a poll ages back. v0.28.1 Change Log

Game Functions:

  • Pregnancy mechanics added to the procedural 'romance' encounters. Each time there is a PIV climax involving the player, XO, or standard crewmembers, there is a chance for pregnancy. Specialists cannot impregnate or be impregnated at this time. For pregnancy to occur, the following must be true:
    • A Reproductive Health Officer must be staffed (Tier 3 ship required).
    • Mandatory birth control policies are not in use.
    • Both participants are the same species (future ship upgrades may remove this requirement).
    • Both participants must be fertile.
    • The potential mother must not already be pregnant or within 30 days of having been pregnant.
    • A random check based on the ship's fertility policy must be passed.

Scene Content:

  • End-of-day Reproductive Health Officer scene added to inform the player when they have gotten a crewmember pregnant, requires an RHO to be staffed, will delay until one is staffed if there is none.
  • End-of-day XO scene added to inform the player when they have gotten the XO pregnant, slight variants based on XO relationship. Note: Some options may change the XO relationship, however if chosen this change will be queued until further XO relationship mechanics are added to the game.
  • End-of-day XO scene added to inform the XO when they have gotten the player pregnant, slight variants based on XO relationship. Same notes as the above scene.

v0.27.0/v0.28.0 Updates

Hey all, it's monthly update time! v0.27.0 is now up on the public page, and v0.28.0 has been released to patrons! This update largely focused on more aspects of the game's pregnancy system, and if a player selects the 'Breeder' trait at the start of the game, they'll now start off with a couple of kiddos to get the family started with.

I also spent a fair bit of time on a system for automatically displaying certain scenes at the end of the day, and the next update will add in a few more of these to serve as announcements for when the player's gotten someone on the ship knocked up. The pregnancy system should be pretty much wrapped up with the next update, after which I'll return to storyline writing for a bit as it's been a few months since there's been much in the way of plot scenes. v0.28.0 Change Log

Game Functions:

  • Fertility Healing added to the Reproductive Health Officer's office. Any infertile crewmembers can have their fertility restored for a cost of Medical and R&D upgrade items.
  • Players with the 'Breeder' trait will have two children listed at the Watch Station Childcare Center. If the XO is a Co-Parent, they will be the other parent of the children, otherwise a randomly generated parent is created. Players must still complete the first Admiral debriefing to visit the Childcare Center.
  • Functionality added to support scenes that automatically appear at the end of the day. If the player is in transit or currently viewing an 'important' scene, these scenes will wait until the next day.
  • Crewmembers may now hook up on their own time each day with a chance of causing pregnancy. For this to occur the following conditions must exist:
    • Mandatory crew birth control policy is not being used.
    • A Reproductive Health Officer must be assigned.
    • There must be at least five crewmembers (not counting Specialists or the player).
    • The crewmembers who hook up must be physically capable of getting one another pregnant, and not already be pregnant or within 30 days of having an offspring shipped to Watch Station.

Scene Content:

  • Previous RHO meeting scene has been moved to a new RHO hub scene. This hub scene includes the option for the new fertility treatments.
  • Automated scene added to alert players to when the Admiral's first debriefing is available.
  • End-of-day Reproductive Health Officer scene added to inform the player when they have become pregnant, requires an RHO to be staffed, will delay until one is staffed if there is none. Note: Not accessible until player pregnancy has been fully implemented.

v0.27.1 Supporter Update

v0.27.1 is now up for patrons, and we've got some new art and a lot of setup for the game's pregnancy system! The last Seeder faction CG is now in the game, and while you can't yet conceive children, I've set up a number of functions to support them once they exist. The next update will focus on adding in a few more systems, at which point I'll add in the ability to actually get folks (or yourself) pregnant. v0.27.1 Change Log

Game Functions:

  • New Birth Control options have been added to the Policies menu, under a new Reproductive Health tab. These options are only available if you own a Tier 3 ship and have a RH Officer assigned. Some options will not be available until Tier 4 ships are added to the game.
  • Functionality added for the aging of offspring and the inclusion of important milestones in the daily log: crew impregnations, offspring sent to Watch Station, offspring born at Watch Station.
  • Crew Profiles will now list pregnancy information for crewmembers who are currently pregnant.

Scene Content:

  • New 'Childcare Center' scene added to the Watch Station services list, currently in development. Unlocked following the Admiral's first debriefing. Will provide functionality for viewing children of all crewmembers and renaming of player's children.

Evening all, it's monthly update time! v0.26.0 is now up at the public page, and v0.27.0 is now available for patrons! This update finishes up the Tier 3 ship functionality with one more new ship, although I do have some additional art assets waiting to get in. I've also started on the very early stages of the game's pregnancy system, which will also be my main focus for the coming month. This system will require having a Tier 3+ ship unlocked, so get to completing some missions if you're not already there! v0.26.1 Supporter Update

It's mid-month update time, and this update features new ships! The new Tier 3 ships are unlocked once the player has completed two of the enemy faction storylines, and feature a number of upgrades over Tier 2 vessels: more crew, a larger bridge staff, ways to speed up your development of your favorite DTF division crew, and also some setup for new game features which will be coming soon. Game Functions:

  • New Ship Station functionality: Shield Drain, allowing stations to attack and drain energy from enemy shields.
  • New Ship Station functionality: Training stations, which provide XP to the crewmember staffing the station.
  • Ship Stations may now have minimum required ranks. Minimum required rank will be listed in the station description.
  • Tier 3 ships are now unlocked at the Watch Station dockyards for players who have completed two factions and been debriefed by the Admiral. Current available ships: Tactical, Engineering, R&D, Medical. Note: Ships are using Tier 2 artwork as a placeholder.

v0.25.0/v0.26.0 Updates, and a Discount!

Evening all, it's monthly update time, but first off, it's also an anniversary! In celebration of the third anniversary of the store launch of Carnal Coup - Overseer's Edition, I've now permantly discounted the game, and it's also on sale for the next two weeks! You can find it as usual on Steam and itch.io!

As for Carnal Voyages, v0.25.0 is now up for the public, and v0.26.0 is out for patrons. The latest release finishes out the Seeder faction plotlines with some smut, and tosses in a special 'reward' scene from the Admiral when you report your progress. With the Seeders done I'll next be focusing on functionality for a bit, starting with the development of the next tier of ship classes. Evening all, it's monthly update time! v0.24.0 is now up for free at the usual page, and v0.25.0 is now out for patrons. This update includes a new Harian CG (perhaps the last, now that their arcs are complete) and two new Sage Lantana scenes, including a rather smutty back-to-school encounter. v0.24.1 Update

Evening all, it's mid-month update time! This one's a simple one, with two new Seeder scenes, including the climax to the 'civilian' plotline. The rest of the month will focus on finishing up Sage Lantana's plotline, including the smutty climax, before leading into the Seeder system wrapup.

Aside from game updates though, there's also a Patreon update to let folks know about. Due to changes to qualify for the Apple app, in November Patreon will be shifting all projects on 'pay per calendar month' billing to 'pay per 30 days' billing. Apple app users will also be getting charged 30% more.

My recommendation: don't use the Apple app.

v0.23.0/v0.24.0 Releases

Evening all, it's a new month with new updates! v0.23.0 is now up at the usual page, and v0.24.0 is now out for patrons! This update focuses almost entirely on adding in the rest of the new chain duty assignments, with 34 new assignments added in three systems. There was also a bit of bugfixing, however for the next month I'll be focusing entirely on wrapping up the Seeder plotlines.

Also, the species selection poll this month wrapped up, with the winners being the insectoid Roth (for the returning species) and the Space Slimes (for the new entries). Thanks to everyone who voted!

v0.23.1 Update and Species Poll

Hey all, it's mid-month update time! This update features one new story scene, but the primary focus has been on a new type of duty assignment: chain duties. These assignments tell mini-story arcs entirely through duties, and four sets (21 duties in all) have been added in this update. There's still six more sets left to come though, and that will be my primary focus for the rest of the month.

There's also a poll running currently for Liberator+ patrons to choose the next two factions to be added to the game! I'll be adding in one returning species from Carnal Coup and one new faction, the insectoid Roth currently have a strong lead for the returning slot, but the slime/robot competition for the newcomers is still close!

  • Functionality to support 'Chain Duties':
    • Chain Duties are Duty Assignments with mini-story arcs, with several assignments which progress in a set order.
    • The first set of assignments within a chain will progress the chain even if they fail, although they will not provide rewards.
    • The climax assignment in the chain will repeat until it has been completed successfully.
    • The final 'epilogue' assignment in the chain will be infinitely repeatable.

Updates, and Carnal Coup Summer Sale!

Evening all, it's another monthly update! v0.22.0 is now up at the usual public page, and v0.23.0 is now out for patrons. This update focuses on the Schen, including the ability to recruit Gigi to your ship crew. This next month I'll be returning focus to the Seeders until I finish them up, although I'll also be starting a poll in the next week or so to select the next two factions to add, so I can get the artists started on assets for those. Keep an eye out if you want your vote heard!

Hey all, it's monthly update time! v0.21.0 is now up for the public at the usual page, with v0.22.0 up for patrons! This update focuses on wrapping up the Harian content (save for some eventual epilogue stuff far down the line), with some smutty action for your Captain to watch. There's also some bug fixes, including for one notable known issue in v.0.21.0 involving Harian portraits.   • The Victorious shop will update after completing the third Harian Takeover scene. Players can now buy requisitions for Harians at Ensign and Lt. ranks, of either Tactical or random backgrounds.

v0.21.1 Supporter Update

Evening all, it's mid-month update time! This update focuses on the setup for the plotline to 'take over' the Harians' home system, with a couple scenes covering the planning of your...plan. This update also adds portrait artwork for the Happee's DominatorCard CEO, as well as a number of progress flag-related bug fixes. Scene Content:

  • First scene in the Harmen System Takeover plotline added. Unlocked 40 hours after the final Harian Leader scene, however the Harian Athletes plotline must also be completed and Choker's relationship type established (either Platonic or Romantic) in order to complete the scene.
  • Second scene in the Harmen System Takeover plotline added. Unlocked 20 hours after the first scene. Has several options for completion, the seduction 'combat' encounter option is still in development and will not currently complete the scene.

  • An issue with progress flags would re-close the Victorious Alley scene and the Victorious shop after progressing the Harian leader plotline. These scenes will now be available 40 hours after completing the first Harian Leader scene.
  • A check has been added to unlock the Victorious Athletes CG in the gallery for save games which played the scene before the CG was added.
  • Due to an oversight with progress flags, the player's decision at the end of the Harian Leader plotline was not being properly tracked. Progress on the last Harian Leader scene has been reset if previously played, and the scene will need to be played again.

Evening all, it's monthly update time! v0.20.0 is now up at the usual page, and v0.21.0 is now available for patrons! This latest update finishes out the Harian Leader plotline, and sets things up for the Harian system in general to be wrapped up in the coming month. Doing so will unlock a few new goodies, such as being able to recruit Harian crewmembers specifically, so that's something to look forward to for Harian fans. v0.20.1 Supporter Update

Hey all, it's time for the mid-month update! This update features a new portrait set for the Schen leader NPC, and scenes for both the Happee and Harian leaders. The direction I'm going with for the Happee leader plotline is...perhaps a bit unsubtle for me, and is related to a short rant I've given on the Patreon post in regards to recent crackdowns on NSFW content on numerous sites. I'll be moving on with the Harian leader for the rest of the month though, and hopefully bringing that plotline to a close in the near future. v0.19.0/v0.20.0 Updates

Evening all, it's another new month! v0.19.0 is now up for free at the usual page, and v0.20.0 is now out for supporters! This update kicks off a few more Happee Co plotlines, and also adds in a new QoL improvement which I hope will come in handy - map markers for when new plotline scenes are available! I have a bit more in-progress Happee Co writing to finish off for the next update, but after that I plan to return to the Harians. The Harian plotlines are almost complete, which means it's about time to get started on the process for what happens when a player 'completes' a system. v0.19.1 Update and Sales!

Evening all, here to note that v0.19.1 is now up for patrons, and the Overseer's Edition of Carnal Coup is now on sale on both Steam and itch! This is part of the Spring Sales, but primarily I'd like to celebrate the launch of Steam's new privacy options, allowing you to hide your porn games from your friends.

As for this update, there's a number of new scenes and features covering the Schen and Happee factions, including new portrait artwork for the Schen Specialist NPC, Dr. 'Gigi'! Gaining DTF Happee recruits is also now a possibility, with all of the functionality groundwork laid to support the space goblins. v0.18.0/v0.19.0 Releases

Hey all, it's monthly update time! v0.18.0 is now up for the public, and v0.19.0's been released for Patrons! This cycle focused on kicking off some of the reptilian Schen-based plotlines, particularly to introduce the Specialist and Leader NPCs for these factions. Portrait work for the new characters is currently underway, although they'll be getting placeholder portraits for the moment. Due to the shorter month I also had to leave some placeholder content in place for one of the new scenes, but I'll be filling that in soon enough with some new kink-trait-based scene branches.

v0.18.1 Supporter Update

Happy Valentine's Day, all! This month's mid-month release is a few days earlier than usual, but I wouldn't want to miss our special night, after all. v0.18.1 is now out for patrons, and includes quite a bit more content from our project freelancers: 39 new duty assignments, and 2 new CG sets! The queue of backlogged content waiting for implementation is now clear, and I plan to finally get started on writing plotlines for the new star systems in the next update. v0.17.0/v0.18.0 Releases

Evening all, it's a new month! v0.17.0 is now up for free at the public itch page, and v0.18.0 is now out for patrons! This update includes a fair bit of work on the new scene replay system, as well as quite a few new items from our freelancers - including 20 duty assignments written up by our new freelance writer, Pyksies! There's even more assignments waiting to be added into the game, which will be my first task for the next update, along with getting started on plotlines for the newest species.   • Functionality added to support Scene Replay Mode:
    • Scene replays from the Captain's office reorganized.
    • While in Replay Mode, you will not be able to access the maps or the crew list.
    • Scene checks requiring currency, ship upgrades, or crew requisitions can be automatically passed in Replay Mode. Additionally, choices which might normally affect XO Relationship, Liberator/Infiltrator choices, etc. will have no effect.
  • Scenes added to replay mode:
    • Seedcarrier's second scene. Previous replayable Seedcarrier scenes adjusted for the new system.

v0.17.1 Supporter Update

It's mid-month update time, and we've got some new scenes tonight - some of them extra spicy! This update finishes off the main 'Harian civilians' plotline, although it will of course be revisited as the Harian system is wrapped up, and later on with the eventual epilogues.

v0.16.0/v0.17.0 Releases, and 2024 Review

It's a new month and a new year, so we've got some new releases for you tonight! v0.16.0 is now up for the public at the usual link, and v0.17.0 is now out for patrons. This last update focuses on some new scenes for the Harians and Seeders, which will be continuing for the next update, with one scene already halfway done currently.

Aside from that, I've also written up some brief review of 2023 and planning for 2024, which you can read about on the Patreon post. But let me repeat here: thanks to everyone who's been supporting and playing the project in 2023, and I hope you hang around for 2024!
